A Clockwork Orange
1971, Crime- Drama- Sci-Fi, 136 min'
Stanley Kubrick

I’m oozing with inspiration every time I'm watching this magnificent film. As a former costume designer I really appreciate the style. A bunch of "droogs" wearing tighty whities and masks, a bowler and a cane. Lovely. A proper tribute to the English gentleman. Alex (Malcolm McDowell) is such an extreme character it fascinates me. I’m a little in love with that witty bad boy. A psychopath with child like eyes and an innocent look, so devoted to the female form it makes it so sexy. It’s so forbidden it’s liberating. The film is drooling with violence. The kind of violence you wish would stay inside the T.V. screen. Provocation with a strong British accent! It sounds superb to me and when it comes to films from the 1970’s, forget it! My sugary cup of tea. Sip it with my pinky up!
